before you book
do i really need a separate prep product?
Not necessarily. A plain, fragrance-free moisturizer used consistently may also help condition dry skin before an appointment. The Prep Cream was created specifically for this stage, with aloe, allantoin and camphor in a lightweight formula designed for the days leading up to a tattoo.
should i shave the area first?
Ask your artist. Many artists prefer to shave the area themselves immediately before the session because a razor can irritate the skin or create small abrasions.
can i use it on the day of my appointment?
Unless your artist tells you otherwise, use it during the days leading up to the appointment — not immediately before you arrive. On the day of your session, arrive with clean, dry skin and no product sitting on the surface.
